How to delete temporary files in Windows XP, Vista, 7

Execution of any program creates Temporary files in any operating system. When your temporary file directory contains large no of temporary files, your system may become slow. Also your internet speed will be decrease. That's why it is recommended to delete these type of unnecessary files regularly. It will increase your system performance.

Just follow the simple steps to delete temporary files in Windows XP or any other version of windows:


Step:1   Click on START on the left corner of Taskbar.



Step:2  Press Run as shown in the image.


Step:3  Type %temp% in the box and click OK




Step:4  Select all the files using your mouse or simply press the key Ctrl+A and click on the delete the selected items as shown below or press the Delete key in the keyboard.



Step:5  Confirm the file delete by clicking Yes in the dialog box.





If any type of error will occur to delete some files then simply deselect those files and try to delete other files. These type of temporary files delete error often occurred because the program associated with those files is executing. That's why windows does not permit you to delete those files.
